About Itziar de Rojas

With a robust academic background, holding a Ph.D. in Genetics, along with a Master's degree in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics, and Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, I have cultivated specialized skills that have propelled me into the role of Senior Scientist. My focus revolves around the management, analysis, and interpretation of high-throughput multi-omics data, as well as the design and analysis of genetic studies related to complex diseases. My experience encompasses the preparation of statistical analysis plans, project development, analysis and results presentation, with a meticulous emphasis on critical review and manuscript preparation participating in 10 International Consortiums, 15 projects with more than 75 publications. Furthermore, I have excelled in coordinating and collaborating effectively with diverse departments and professionals, showcasing exceptional teamwork and project management skills. My technical proficiency extends to strong computational skills in environments such as R and Bash, complemented by substantial knowledge of Python, SQL and machine learning. I am recognized for my ability to tackle and solve complex problems, coupled with my critical and analytical thinking. Moreover, I am adept at presenting and visualizing complex data effectively, contributing to the ongoing success of projects and teams in which I participate.
