About Ivan Alexander

Hello my name is Ivan Alexander, a dedicated lecturer, researcher, and lifelong learner in Computer Engineering with over a decade of experience at BINUS University. My journey has evolved from a laboratory assistant to Deputy Head of the Computer Engineering Department, where I lead initiatives in curriculum design, academic quality assurance (LAM Teknik, IABEE, ABET) and innovation‐driven education. My academic expertise spans Computer Networks, Routing & Switching, and Network Security, with growing interests in Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Indoor Positioning Systems. As a Huawei Certified Academy Instructor and AWS Academy Graduate, I bring global industry standards into the classroom to bridge academic theory with real‐world applications. Currently pursuing a Doctorate in Computer Science, my research focuses on machine learning models for indoor location prediction using BLE and Wi-Fi signal data. Beyond teaching, I mentor students, lead research‐based innovation projects and contribute to national competitions and scientific publications.
