A highly-experienced frontend and Drupal developer with more than 20 years of technical experience and a background rooted in effective digital strategy. A strong communicator and mentor in addition to a proficient developer, active in open-source tech communities and with a proven track record of high-quality team work. More than 10 years of experience developing in Drupal, including extensive Drupal 8 experience. Strong frontend engineering skills, with project work involving Sass, Twig theming, Pattern Lab and other living style guides; mobile- and accessibility-first responsive web development; and CRM integration. Years of work in and with nonprofits and community groups, “translating” technical ideas to nontechnical clients and staff. I'm a talented Drupal frontend developer and pride myself at creating sites that fulfill a group's strategic goals around advocacy, membership development and fundraising, yet is easy for nontechnical staff to use. I have experience working directly for a number of social change and nonprofit groups, including co-founding the Genocide Intervention Network. I'm a past organizer of Philadelphia NetSquared and PDXTech4Good, which bring together nonprofits and tech experts for discussions about using social technology for social change. I've been an invited speaker at the Nonprofit Technology Conference, Gandhi-King Conference, New Organizing Institute, Internet Advocacy Roundtable and the National Press Club, and authored a chapter in the textbook "Online Social Networking."
