About Ivan Galas

20++ years of experience in the silicon business in the analog & mixed-signal design positions in important silicon design centers ranging from: Dublin, Ireland (5 years with Silicon & Software Systems), Boston, USA (10 months at Lucent Bell labs, USA), Zurich, Switzerland (1 month at Phonak International), TI Nice, France (6 moths at TI, Nice), ST-Microelectronics+ST-Ericsson Grenoble, France (5 years at ST-E, Grenoble) to mention the most important. The technical experience span from the unix scripting, modelisation, digital (Verilog/VHDL), top-level (digital or analog on the top; Mentor or Cadence flow) and analog design on the one hand, to the scientific experience due to my very successful doctoral thesis on the other hand. Currently I am engaged as an analogue designer, a staff engineer, at ST-Microeletronics in Prague, The Czech Republic (Europe): mix-signal toplevel verification, various analog sub-block design (various oscillator architectures, regulated charge pumps etc), specialized analog verifications (switched capacitor Sigma Delta intrinsic noise simulation at transistor level by SpectreRF, RF noise etc). Specialised analog simulation methods. ESD protection schemes and their verifications, thermal verification etc I was born in Prague, Czech republic. I love Paris, Nice, NY and Prague.
