I build large-scale LLM systems and teach how to leverage AI tools - from ChatGPT fundamentals to custom solutions. Currently leading GenAI initiatives at IFAB Foundation, architecting RAG solutions processing sustainability reports, and overviewing Quantum Computing research projects on Leonardo HPC system. MY APPROACH I came to AI through physics and complexity science, which shapes how I think about building intelligent systems. Rather than treating models as black boxes, I'm drawn to understanding how they work - what makes them fail, how to make them reliable, and how to explain their decisions. This informs my current focus on interpretable and efficient AI architectures. CURRENT WORK Leading the SESG project: a €1M initiative processing European sustainability reports using advanced RAG architectures, coordinating research teams across 4 universities. Managing €2M+ research portfolio spanning quantum computing, GenAI platforms, and distributed systems, with privileged access to Leonardo - Europe's 4th largest supercomputer ranked 10th in TOP500. WHAT I'M EXPLORING Interpretable AI, mechanistic understanding of LLMs, efficient architectures, and agentic systems. Particularly interested in the intersection of AI safety and practical deployments - how do we build systems that are both powerful and trustworthy?
