About Ivan Ho

I am a seasoned software engineering professional with over two decades of technical leadership experience in tech startups and Google. I started my career as a software developer in Fintech for 4 years, then I dove into tech startups where I had the opportunity to create a company, recruit talent, assemble engineering teams, ship award winning software, engage with some amazing technology partners, enterprise customers, and business partners. During the 14-year stint, I assumed various roles (ie. founding engineer, VP of Engineering, EVP of Product Development, and CTO) and took on various responsibilities including product management, project management, expanding offshore development, VC fund-rasing, IT management, and much more. Since 2011, I’ve been an Engineering Manager at Google leading engineering productivity and DevOps teams in Ads, Cloud, and Core. Across each of these opportunities, I’ve assembled high-performing engineering teams to tackle complex problems. Many of them were web applications for large organizations. As a software engineer, I share the same passion for solving problems with elegant and efficient solutions. As a technical lead, I enjoy the technical collaboration among other engineers, designers, & product managers across the SDLC. As an engineering manager, I enjoy building teams, growing individuals, coaching, and align their interests with the business goals to deliver exceptional customer value.
