A proven leader with extensive experience in many areas of law enforcement serving as a Postal Inspector/Federal Agent for the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS). With 20+ years in federal law enforcement, Dr. Ramirez has gained broad experience in investigating a multitude of crimes including robberies, burglaries and other violent crimes, to include workplace violence, white collar & fraud, corporate investigations, crisis management, executive protection, risk management/mitigation, security protocols, WMD and Dangerous Mail Investigations, et al. Dr. Ramirez has managed numerous criminal investigative and security teams leading numerous multi-agencies & joint operations/task forces. With extensive experience in managing national security screening operations, he has led teams at the Republican National Convention, and major sporting events such as Super Bowl, All-Star Baseball Games, NASCAR, and the Masters Golf Tournament. Certified by the Federal Law Enforcement Training Academy (FLETA) accreditation, Dr. Ramirez has served as an instructor at the Career Development Unit, the USPIS’ federal law enforcement training academy in Potomac, MD, in many areas of law enforcement and the field of communications, media and public affairs. Dr. Ramirez is considered a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in his field. Dr. Ramirez is also a member of the Executive Protection Detail team charged with the safe Transportation & Physical Security of the Postmaster General of the United States. Dr. Ramirez served a number of years in San Juan, PR, the U.S. Virgin and as a Global Security expert for Canada Post and Central Africa. In addition, he also serves as Public Information Officer (PIO) managing media inquiries for local and national media outlets in both English & Spanish and has served at the USPIS' National Headquarters in Washington, DC, as the National PIO. Over 20+ years experience in training and instruction in federal law enforcement and serving as university adjunct professor in a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs such as Leadership/Management, Communications, Public Administration/Public Policy, Political Science and Criminal Justice. Dr. Ramirez earned his Bachelor of Liberal Arts & Humanities (BLS) and Master of Public Administration (MPA) degrees from Barry University, and his Doctor of Education (D.Ed.) in Leadership & Management from St. Thomas University. Dr. Ramirez had been the recipient of numerous awards, recognitions, and commendations for his life-long dedication to duty and public service.
