About Ivan Lorencin

I am a dedicated and innovative Python and AI developer with a PhD in computer vision, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Juraj Dobrila University of Pula. My primary focus is on generative AI, leveraging advanced technologies like generative neural networks and large language models to push the boundaries of what AI can achieve. In addition to my academic role, I am a partner and AI developer at dAIgnostics, where I work remotely on cutting-edge generative AI solutions. I also provide freelance consulting and development services, specializing in Python programming and AI applications. My previous experience includes leading the Engineering Department at Istrian University of Applied sciences, and serving as a research and teaching assistant at the Faculty of Engineering, RITEH University of Rijeka, where I worked extensively with AI solutions, mostly in the medical sector. I have participated in numerous scientific research initiatives and led projects such as the "Development of an Intelligent System for Estimating the Point of Maximum Power of the Photovoltaic System with Application to Autonomous Vessels." I have authored and co-authored 90 scientific papers, with 31 published in high-impact journals (Q1 or Q2 quartile), and I serve as the editor of the journal "Mathematics." My expertise in generative AI, coupled with a strong foundation in computer vision and AI system development, enables me to provide high-quality consulting services to help organizations leverage AI technologies, enhance their research capabilities, and achieve strategic goals. On a personal note, I am a proud husband and father of one playful son.
