As the VP of Strategy and Corporate Affairs, I'm responsible for securing the future direction of Ericsson in Europe. Serving as a strategic planning partner, I collaborate with regional teams to drive the development of growth plans that align with Ericsson’s vision to build a future where connectivity not only enriches lives but also leaves a positive mark on the world. I firmly believe that connectivity stands as a cornerstone of social and economic development and is the ultimate enabler for the dual transition of a greener and more digital world. Ericsson’s role in this transformative journey is pivotal, as we continue to pioneer innovations in 5G, digital transformation, big data, and AI technologies. Trust is paramount in our pursuit of excellence. As we navigate an increasingly complex geopolitical and business landscape, we must be a trusted partner in the eyes of our stakeholders. For me, building trust is a fundamental principle that guides our strategic endeavors. By articulating Ericsson's position and views on public policy, regulatory matters, and business issues, I ensure that our advocacy activities encompass insights, broaden access, and exercise influence to shape public policy in a way that benefits both Ericsson and our customers. Outside my role at Ericsson, I am an Associate Professor at Universidad Carlos de Madrid and IE Business School, directing learning on 5G business models and strategy, and on how AI and big data are transforming the telecom industry. I enjoy the rigor of academia and get enormous satisfaction from mentoring students as they begin their own journey of discovery around innovation and the technologies that are reshaping industries and societies. I'm very fortunate to meet a wide range of fascinating people during the course of my work, and it's a privilege to work in an area that could have a very real impact on closing the digital divide and enabling people to have better lives.
