About Ivan Reyna

I’m a Construction Management student at Sam Houston State University with hands-on experience in both residential and commercial projects. At R. Reyna Carpentry, I gained practical skills in custom woodwork, client consultations, and CNC router programming. Currently, I’m interning with Vaughn Construction on the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Training Facility, where I assist with layout, lead subcontractor and safety meetings, coordinate with field teams, perform inspections, manage safety documentation, and review construction plans on-site. My experiences have strengthened my technical skills in Bluebeam, BIM, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Excel, Revit, and Vectric, while also reinforcing the importance of clear communication, teamwork, and attention to detail. As I continue my degree, I’m preparing for a career in construction management with a focus on quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
