Currently seconded from Mitsui to MiCare HealthTech Holdings (a JV between Mitsui, Zuellig Pharma and IFC) as VP of Business Development and Head of Strategy & Corporate Development. Previously, a Deputy GM in Mitsui Asia Pacific's Healthcare team working on healthcare related investments and business development, ranging from healthcare provider services sector, healthcare ancillary services, digital/IT platform, medtech businesses serving the healthcare industry. Also involved in overseeing Mitsui AP's pharmaceutical business development encompassing sales, licensing, outsourcing services and strategic investments. Roles include market research & analysis, strategy development, partner/target engagement, negotiations, due diligence, transaction and post acquisition integration support. Recent deals include investments in India's leading pharmaceutical distributor and Asia's leading drug information/ healthcare data (IT) platform. Previously: As Manager, Healthcare Business Department Mitsui New York, Ivan was responsible for business development in the field of pharmaceutical and healthcare related businesses. He also directed advanced research and analysis on the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry product segments, competitors/players and target countries relevant regulations/guidelines in the entire Americas, particularly the USA and Latin America - utilizing the results to craft market/ business entry strategies for the team to act on. He also participates in the management team of acquisition transaction deals, including strategy formulation, commercial negotiations, as well as financial, tax, operational, legal, commercial and environmental due diligence, valuation analyses, and synergies research and analysis etc. In this regard (past experience), he had been a team member of the following MITSUI investment project team in Asia:>$1 billion investment into a leading regional healthcare service provider in Asia;>$5 million investment project into a regional contract research organization;>$80 million investment into an Indian CMO; and >$50 million investment (joint venture) into an Indian Intravenous products manufacturing.
