About Ivette Hernandez

My passion for science really caught fire when I was in secondary school. This curiosity led me to study a degree in Food Science and Technology, which was the beginning of my professional journey. Since then, I’ve kept studying science-related degrees and other courses to learn more about the world of health and wellness. Early in my career, I got involved in carrying out cross-functional tasks, as well as supporting Quality Management Systems (QMS), conducting audits, managing non-conformities and following up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs). Additionally, I’ve been involved in reviewing technical data sheets within the regulatory affairs department and provided training to different companies in the food sector. Moreover, I had the opportunity to work abroad during my internship, where I used English daily in an international and multicultural workplace, which helped me to improve my communication skills in the language. Over time, I started to look for new challenges and decided to focus on the pharmaceutical industry, attracted by its greater opportunities for personal and professional growth. I began a vocational training program in Manufacturing of Pharmaceutical, Biotechnological and Related Products, which enabled me to start my career in the pharmaceutical sector. Since then, I’ve been gaining valuable experience working as an operator at companies such as B. Braun, Sandoz, Inibsa and Siegfried. In these positions, I’ve worked in GMP-compliant and sterile production areas, which has helped me to get a better understanding of the sector and prepare myself for a transition into quality or other technical-related areas. I consider myself a person with an optimistic mindset who always tries to see the bright side of things, which helps me adapt to change and be comfortable working in fast-paced environments. Furthermore, I bring a proactive attitude, a keen eye for detail, autonomous work capacity and good technical and communication skills. As a lifelong learner, I’m currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Industry, Biotechnology, and Healthcare Technology in order to continue developing professionally within the pharma sector.
