About Ivey Tanner

For as long as I can remember, I have always loved to tell a great story. I remember my mother standing at the stove in our kitchen, her hands on her hips mumbling,"Uhm hmm, baby"​ to whatever big story had me bubbling over after a day of pudding dessert lunches or gym class dodge ball. As a Performing Arts High School student, my passion for storytelling led me everywhere, searching for a story. I dabbled in every area.you name it; theater, band, orchestra, dance, visual arts and a pretty long-running spot as "The voice of Colonel White'​ High."​ After I graduated, I went on to serve our country in the U.S. Army.but the love of a great story never left my heart. That love of storytelling propelled me into Broadcast Journalism with the U.S. Army and Mass Communications as a college student. I feel that my passion for telling compelling stories through video film-making, computer graphic campaigns, and other digital means can be felt through my work, through my work ethic and through the students I mentor in this field. Over 18-years of a wartime U.S. Army Reserve career, I've deployed four times in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. In my time, I've produced award-winning broadcast news packages, provided operational video content to civilian mass media outlets (CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, etc.), generate dozens of highly successful news stories and even hosted/co-hosted a popular AFN radio show or two. I currently work for RLM Communications, Inc. as the Corporate Communications Manager providing external and internal communication strategies, marketing and branding campaign development and creative media production services. I've developed highly successful social media, digital and traditional marketing campaigns that have increased our digital footprint/SEO 80% over a 10-month span of time.
