About Ivo Keller

Since graduating from law school in 2006, I've done everything from documenting real estate loans to going to trial in multi-million dollar civil lawsuits. My practice now focuses on commercial real estate, including obtaining entitlements for development projects, contesting public agency actions that damage or reduce the value of private property, and resolving disputes about environmental issues, leases, and other real estate-related contracts. I also represent landlords and other creditors and contract counter-parties in bankruptcy proceedings, and serve as counsel for state court receivers. I have briefed and argued cases in the District Courts and Bankruptcy Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California, Superior Courts throughout the state, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal, and California appellate courts. I was the President of the California Receivers Forum Bay Area Chapter in 2015 and 2016; the Chairman of the San Francisco Bar Association's Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section in 2017; and am a member of the Board of Directors of the Bay Area Bankruptcy Forum. Before becoming an attorney, I attended UC Hastings College of the Law, where I received five Witkin Awards for Academic Excellence, won the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition in New York, and was a semifinalist at the National Appellate Advocacy Competition in Chicago. I obtained my undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley, where I was President of the Debate Team.
