I guess you can say it was love at first code … After taking an Introductory to Python course, I fell head over hills in love with programming and I quickly changed my degree focus from Business Marketing to Computer Science. In 2017, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lawrence Technological University, earning my B.S. in Computer Science. My passion for coding, community engagement, and youth development perfectly collided in 2017 when I was selected to serve as Microsoft’s first Civic Tech Fellow in the city of Detroit. Additionally, as Microsoft was envisioning a new initiative in 2019, they recruited me to spearhead what has evolved to the movement - Detroit is Limitless - removing barriers between technology and young Detroiters. After leading successful tech and community projects during my time with Microsoft, I’m returning to my first love of coding! I’m currently perfecting my skills as a C#.Net Developer at Grand Circus and looking to transition into a full-time software developer position upon graduation in December 2019. My mission is to make an everlasting global impact using computer science as the driving force. With resilience, exploration, and the right company, this dream will soon become a reality!
