I am a passionate and results-driven leader in the field of food security and sustainable development, currently serving as the Head of Programme at the World Food Programme (WFP) in Türkiye. With over ten years of experience in international humanitarian and development efforts, I have dedicated my career to driving impactful initiatives that enhance food security and empower vulnerable communities across various contexts. In my current role, I oversee a diverse team of 20 professionals and manage a substantial annual budget of $30M. I work collaboratively across teams to set data-driven success metrics, ensuring that our programs not only meet but exceed quarterly targets. My expertise in sustainable practices within the agrifood sector has enabled me to lead strategies that effectively transition WFP’s efforts from emergency response to long-term recovery, particularly in the wake of natural disasters. My career journey has also equipped me with extensive experience in leadership, program development, operational planning, and partnership building. I have successfully led programmes in sectors ranging from climate change and livelihoods to market-driven community development.
