I am interested in- AI/Digital policy navigation and digital competitiveness - Geopolitical analysis - connecting the dots among global digital actors - Smart cities development to support local digital transformation - Action/solution-driven international collaboration I am a EU AI/Digital Policy Specialist at Open & Agile Smart Cities (OASC), a network of more than 150 cities and communities that use open and agile principles to foster innovation and collaboration in the digital transformation of urban services. With a PhD in Politics and International Relations from the University of Warwick, I have a strong background and interest in AI/digital policy, geopolitical analysis, and science diplomacy, especially in the context of the EU, the US, and China. In my current role, I manage work packages for two EU-funded projects: NetZeroCities, which aims to develop and implement data-driven solutions for achieving net-zero carbon emissions in cities, and BIPED, which seeks to enhance the privacy and security of data exchange among public and private stakeholders in the smart city ecosystem. I also combine my interessts in natural language processing (NLP) and generative AI tools with policy analysis to support information processing at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Warwick, where I am a project co-lead.
