About Izabel Assis

I began at Dow in 1997 as an intern at a plant in Brazil. This first-hand factory experience taught me lessons that have stayed with me while working in the manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial areas. Today, I am the Commercial Vice President of Packaging and Specialty Plastics for Latin America. It's been clear to me from the start that my passion for science would bring new perspectives and fulfillment to my career. Whether living in Paraná, Michigan, or São Paulo, I have always been challenged to take a step forward. I am happy to say that this allowed me to experience new cultures and realities. Aside from my technical background, I am proud to have co-chaired the Dow Hispanic and Latino Network for four years and worked on the Midland City Inclusion Council and the United Way Campaign for the Dow Great Lakes Bay Region. I am grateful for the support of my network throughout my journey, and I invite my professional colleagues and followers to join me in inspiring conversations about the market, our careers, and the industry’s future.
