I am the Founder and Executive Director of the Goodwill social work centre (NGO), Madurai, India. I am a former professor of social work and Human resources management at the Madurai Institute of social sciences, Madurai, India. I received my master's degree in Social work with HRM as a field of specialization from the Loyola College (University of Madras), Chennai, India in 1971 and Ph. D in social work/HRM from the Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, India in 1988.I hold a Certificate in International interdisciplinary Course on Children's rights awarded by the University of Ghent, Belgium in 1996. With my wide academic and professional experience for 33 years as a Professor of social work & HRM at the Madurai Institute of Social Sciences,Madurai and 5 years as a Visiting Professor of Social work/HRM and Senior Adviser at Department of Social Sciences,Lady Doak College,Madurai,India, I have trained hundreds of young women and men in professional social work practice,social entrepreneurship,HRM and NGO management at the post graduate level. I am a winner of the UnLtdWorld(UK) Global Impact BRIC(Business, Resources, Insight and Community) Award 2009. I have served as a GLI(UK)Representative in Tamilnadu,India for Global Links Initiative,UK,2006-2009. I am a member on the AH Team on The AllHumanity Network,USA. Specialties: Human resources development practice,NGO networking and capacity building,social work practice,social research,case management practice,social entrepreneurship,children's rights programming,project evaluation.
