Mr. Holmes is experienced in all forms of complex civil and tort litigation. Mr. Holmes has extensive jury trial experience. Mr. Holmes was elected into the American Board of Trial Advocates and has held the following offices in the organization: Director, National Board; Director, State Board; San Bernardino-Riverside County Chapter President, Vice President, Secretary and Board Member. Mr. Holmes has an AV Martindale Hubbell rating. Mr. Holmes was admitted to the California Bar in 1968, after earning his J.D. degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Mr. Holmes is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court; U.S. District Court of Appeals – Ninth Circuit; U.S. District Courts – Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts; U.S. Court of Claims; U.S. Court of Military Appeals, U.S. Court of Military Review; the U.S. Tax Court; and the California state courts. Mr. Holmes sits as a Settlement Mediator for the State of California Court of Appeals – Fourth District and the Riverside Superior Court. Mr. Holmes regularly serves as a Judge Pro Tem / Temporary Judge for the Riverside Superior Court. Mr. Holmes serves as an Arbitrator for the Riverside Superior Court and the Riverside County Bar Association Dispute Resolution Service. Mr. Holmes serves as a member of the State Bar of California Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolutions. Mr. Holmes is a member of the American and Riverside County Bar Associations. Mr. Holmes has served on the Riverside County Bar Association Judicial Nomination Committee and as Chairman of its Disaster Preparedness / Response Committee. Mr. Holmes is a member and former Director of the Southern California Defense Counsel.
