About Jaap Romme

My main drive currently is the 'Legitimacy of government'. I worry about the world my daughters will have to grow up in. I am convinced government plays a key role in ensuring we tackle the crises that face us, but I also see a growing disconnect between government and society. So I decided to try and help! We are researching the theme of legitimacy and desiging tools to improve it. My skillset is mainly that of the intermediary between people with different backgrounds/views/convictions. By almost literally translating between their different realities I create common ground in which people feel safe to allow change to happen. I am a sparring partner for senior civil servants and corporate management, but also like to really make things happen instead of only advising what to do in roles like programme or interim manager.
