About Jabir Uddin

As an experienced practitioner, I have over 20 years of experience in supporting young people's personal, social, emotional and professional development both in a strategic and operational capacity. I have worked on the frontline as a teaching assistant, youth worker, and behaviour mentor, as well as a mediator and sports coach in schools/PRU and youth centres. As a manager, I have been responsible for service development such as creating visions and values for organisations through ‘strategic planning and delivery of national and local priorities, outcomes, and outputs. I also have experience in talent acquisition and facilitating staff development training in relation to managing aggression together with restorative and therapeutic approaches to working with young people. My roles have also entailed working with professionals such as social workers, clinicians, housing, police, and faith groups through collaborating, networking and building capacity in order to maximise opportunities for young people.
