About Jacek Budzik

I have been admitted to the Bar since 2011. My collaboration with SPCG dates back to 2006. I'm specialised in business law, incl. competition law as well as regulatory and criminal law aspects of business. I also handle litigation relating to construction investment. I'm a member of the Competition Law Association. I graduated from Law and European Studies at the Jagiellonian University. I held a scholarship at the University of the West of England in Bristol. I also completed Postgraduate studies in business management at the Krakow Business School of the Krakow University of Economics. Currently, I'm pursuing the LLM programme at the University of London (UCL/QMU). I have represented clients in many dispute resolution cases, incl. antitrust, damages claims, construction investment and white-collar crime. I have advised i.a:[DAF/PACCAR] in relation to damages claims resulting from the European Commission's decision on the so-called 'Truck Manufacturers Cartel', as well as in relation to the decisions of the President of Office of Competition and Consumer Protection on anti-competitive agreements alleged against truck distributors,[T-Mobile / Deutsche Telekom] in proceedings concerning alleged infringements of competition law, SMP, regulatory obligations and notification of intended concentration,[a dozen leading Polish banks, incl. BH (Citibank), Pekao, PKO BP, Bank Millennium, ING Bank Śląski, Bank BPH, Santander Bank Polska, Crédit Agricole Bank Polska] in antitrust proceedings regarding the interchange fee, and some of the above banks - also in connection with compensation claims arising from the charging of allegedly excessive interchange fee rates,[Polimex Mostostal S.A, Mota Engil CE S.A, Provincial Roads Authority in Krakow] in disputes related to the construction of linear infrastructural facilities, incl. motorways, expressways, provincial roads,[Eiffage, Buma, Martifer groups] in disputes related to the construction of cubature objects (incl. shopping malls, residential and office estate, the Baltic Arena in Gdańsk),[Tecnimont, Instal Kraków, Dyskret groups] in disputes related to the construction of industrial infrastructure facilities and technological networks,[Bank Pekao S.A.] with respect to credit facilities for financing of projects developed by Buma Group, Kraków Business Park, Salwator Development,[Bayer AG] in the process of selling of part of its business to a subsidiary of Siemens AG,[Orlen S.A.] in disputes involving claims for damages and the realisation of promissory notes and mortgages to secure claims.
