About Jachin Cabrera

After gaining my Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, I was fortunate to work as part of a client-side Project Management Team in a massive 5.4-hectare mixed-use land development composed of commercial and high-rise apartments. It has given me the opportunity to supervise and manage all project aspects from design, owner-supplied material procurement, testing & commissioning, installation, manpower loading, cost control, scheduling, among others. In 2017 after migrating to Sydney, I got hired by Broadspectrum (now Ventia) as a Quality Inspector for its Asset Maintenance Contract with NSW Land and Housing Corporation. This position has focused my experience in the Quality and Compliance aspect of a project. This has also allowed me to hone my expertise in audits. Soon after, I got promoted to the Quality Advisor role in 2020 which exposed me to risk-based internal and external audits which aimed to ensure that both Ventia and its subcontractors are performing in accordance with the contracts. On the side, I have completed a Lead Auditor course (2021) and I am currently finishing a Diploma of Project Management which is expected to be concluded in the last quarter of this year. Back in 2017, I have also got certified by Engineers Australia as a Professional Engineer.
