Jacintha (she/her) is a technology leader with over 17 years of experience in implementing and managing mission critical platforms in the FinTech industry. In her current role as Senior manager at PayPal, Jacintha leads a team of 40+ engineers across the Chennai/Bangalore locations and operates the Payments Platform that supports over $60B/month in payment volume (one billion transactions/month) across 200+ countries using an extensive network of 100+ banks, acquirers, processors, Networks, and global platforms. Her team has played a critical role in enabling 25% year-over-year growth of platform with 99.99% availability while offering the Straight Through processing of the platform to reducing production issues by 25%, and improving data reconciliation by 56%. Jacintha is responsible both for platform internal data quality and external vendor data quality by ensuring the integrity and completeness of data right from the time the transaction is committed till its successful entry in PayPal's accounting ledger by partnering with platform engineering stakeholders and external financial institutions (banks/card networks, processors and acquirers). Jacintha is passionate in building high performing teams by identifying and grooming talents, demonstrating abilities in organisational management including development of innovative organisational programs that improves operational efficiency, team productivity, revitalize workforces and optimize operational expenses through workforce optimisation strategies. Prior to her current role, Jacintha was a curious performance engineer who analyses and troubleshoots the large scale distributed systems, finding opportunities to improve the efficiency of the infrastructure and application platforms. As a culture champion, Jacintha act as a career mentor for PayPal and external community who truly promotes diversity and inclusion. She is also an active member in the Women-In-Payments community. Jacintha finds her calling to help others see their own power and strength.
