About Jack Armstrong

A recent graduate (first-class honours) from the University of Southampton studying BSc Geography. I have specialist interests including GIS & Remote Sensing, Sustainability and Hydrological/Environmental Modelling, and aim to progress these interests, skills and experiences within the professional environment. Often described as personable, with a strong work ethic and determination in numerous aspects in my academic, working, and personal life, I don't fear or shy away from hard work. Numerous colleagues (previous and current), customers, tutors and peers advocating for this over the years. Elected as President of the Geography Society at University and Head Boy at Secondary school has demonstrated, not only my versatility to work within at team, but also the confidence and ability to lead. Undertaking these roles alongside academic, work and personal responsibilities has proven my good organisation and working under pressure skillsets. With my dissertation focused on assessing landslide susceptibility using GIS techniques, I've been able to showcase my interest in the vulnerabilities of humans and infrastructures in the natural environment and its hazards.
