I am a full-stack developer with a passion for building and maintaining innovative cloud-native solutions. With over three years of experience across the entire web stack, I specialize in delivering, supporting, and optimizing scalable applications. My background in geospatial science has given me a strong analytical mindset, a keen eye for patterns in complex datasets, and a problem-solving approach rooted in precision. Complementing this, my Master’s in IT has equipped me with deep technical expertise, software engineering best practices, and a strong foundation in designing efficient, cloud-native systems. At Environmental Systems Solutions, I leveraged open-source technologies to develop custom web-mapping solutions, integrate spatial data processing workflows, and perform spatial data analysis using tools like PostGIS. At Nova Systems, I have consulted for a diverse range of clients. For the past two years, I have worked with the Australasian Fire & Emergency Service Authorities Council (AFAC) to enhance and expand the Australian Fire Danger Rating System (AFDRS)—a mission-critical application providing real-time fire danger ratings to emergency services, government agencies, and the public. In this role, I have collaborated closely with stakeholders, including product owners, meteorologists, and scientists, ensuring the system meets operational needs and aligns with industry best practices. My contributions span the entire application stack, from optimizing AWS infrastructure and refining the Python-based API and ETL processes to improving the TypeScript front end.
