About Jack Bernacki

I am a professional educator, manager and program coordinator with more than 15 years experience in the public and non-profit sectors. I am experienced in program design, coordination, evaluation and facilitation with over 5 years working in a front-line capacity directly with clients in multiple roles, and nearly 10 years experience in staff supervision and leadership. I am a committed leader with a positive attitude about continual growth and improvement who strives to do his best, be his best and produce the best work I can at all times. I possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and act as a leader on teams, pushing innovation, teamwork and collaboration. I set goals and work to achieve them in both my professional and personal life. I have sought and been awarded promotions in all of my professional roles, with over 10 years employed at Compass Community Health with continual growth in role and responsibility. I am also a former teacher with the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board, with short term and long term occasional experience. I have worked in both mainstream and alternative school settings, with strong experience with youth-at-risk, including those enrolled in the HWDSB Gateway Program. I am personally passionate about ongoing learning and education, as well as physical fitness and social justice issues. I compete in short and long distance running and triathlon, with several podium finishes, as well as being a regular rock climber and Crossfitter who pushes himself every day to achieve new heights and personal bests.
