After teaching high school mathematics for four years, I taught first year college mathematics for 31 years. I've also conducted research in how students learn mathematics, especially in technology rich environments and in programmatic innovations in how graduate students develop their views and practices concerning teaching college mathematics. I am currently the PI on an NSF project entitled “Improving the Preparation of Graduate Students to Teach Undergraduate Mathematics” (Award Number:1432381).
