About Jack Britton

As a quality and customer-focused product management lead, I have gained 26 years of experience in planning, executing and leading campaigns to introduce community derived, open-source solutions as enterprise software to market. These products now serve a network of global Fortune 100 companies which continue to grow. During the last 20 years, I have progressed in my career through numerous acquisitions, working for different companies with similar products and objectives. The last 10 years have been spent as a product manager at Red Hat and currently I am a Senior Principal Product Manager, operating as a strategic thinker and creative planner to launch new technical products to market, from accelerated product development to creating roadmap and scope, synergised with business strategy and growth objectives. I have an influential leadership style to drive fast-paced, high intensity product management environments, adjusting to new opportunities, technologies and business plans. I confidently influence and lead cross-functional teams and engage with partners to deliver products in line with vision, customer requirements and prioritized outcomes. I am meticulous in defining business cases, generating new concepts and bringing new customer experiences to life through launch of new technological platforms and software. With credibility and honesty, I am recognised for my ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional, diverse teams to achieve desired goals. As a product manager, I have taken full independent ownership of delivering market ready products, without the support of a team. However, I have operated alongside different constituent teams such as engineering, quality assurance, document writers, amongst others, to work toward the same objective. This is especially true within open-source engineering teams, often housing community heroes. In academia, I have a BS degree in business from The Indiana Institute of Technology magna cum laude, having returning to school as an adult following a decade of service in the marines. I am dedicated to continued professional development and welcome any further training or education to reach maximum potential at senior-level.
