I am a highly experienced Editorial professional and passionate story-teller working in Scripted Film and Television in the following capacities: Editor Editing is my primary passion and drive. I LOVE working with a Director to craft a visual story in the edit suite and have grown greatly in this skill with each outing. Currently having two feature films and three broadcast TV credits to my name as the Editor. 1st Assistant Editor / VFX Editor These are the roles that have made up the bulk of my career since I started in 2012. On every kind of level and scale of production from a TV commercial through to huge action feature films I've ran Editorial teams and assisted Editors on them all proudly. Mentor / Trainer In 2021 I began making a series of videos on YouTube under the name "The Avid Assistant" intially as instructional videos on how to do things within Avid Media Composer. This eventually grew to me creating documents, media and resources, two full online courses on Assistant Editing and even in person teaching in various cities throughout the UK to train people in Editorial skills. It's been a lot of fun and very rewarding!
