About Jack Burkholder

Jack has spent his career in corporate finance and real estate development, strategy and analysis, handling both domestic and international transactions and financings. He has overseen major investments, development projects, and joint ventures, including a significant Sino-American partnership to develop a $225 million coal-fired, co-generation power plant in North Central China. Since 1983, Jack has advised clients on asset foreclosures, distressed asset sales, bankruptcies, reorganizations, and loan workouts, and has served as an expert witness and advisor in these areas. He has also been a court-appointed receiver for commercial real estate, managed numerous assets for the Resolution Trust Corporation, and overseen large institutional commercial property portfolios valued at over $3 billion, including more than 100 hotels. Jack has underwritten over $1 billion in institutional private placement loans and investments. In the 1990s, he held the exclusive Nevada Area Director Franchise Rights for Quiznos Subs. Before relocating to Colorado in 1978, Jack lived in New York City, where he spent five years as Vice President of investment banking at the Schroder Group and five years as a senior investment portfolio manager at The Equitable. He has also served for five years as a board director, member of the Audit Committee, and chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee of a public company. In 2024, after 21 years, he retired from the Audit Committee of the Cherry Creek School District, which oversaw a $930 million operating budget and a $50 million capital expenditure budget for Colorado’s fourth-largest school district. Jack holds a B.S. degree from Cornell University and an MBA in finance from Fordham University. He is a licensed real estate broker in Colorado and was a member of the Executive Real Estate Round Table in Denver, where he served as a board director for ten years.
