About Jack Drake

I am currently studying Aviation Management (BSBA) at the Max M. Fisher College of Business at THE Ohio State University! So far, I was selected for the prestigious Business Scholars Living/Learning Community and serve on the outreach committee of the Aviation Management Organization. This past spring, I was chosen by both students and faculty to serve as an Ambassador to Fisher. I am the published author of Preston Hollow: A Brief History, a 170 page nonfiction book on the history of Dallas' Preston Hollow Neighborhood. Since I have I lifelong passion for aviation, I am currently a Private Pilot, certified in single engine and high-performance aircraft. I am proficient in the Cirrus SR20 and SR22. Despite my love for flying, as a career, I wish to be on the management side of an airline. I have a deep interest in the "behind the scenes operations at airlines," so I interned this past summer at PlaneSmart! Aviation, a Part 135 Charter operator, and was exposed to pretty much every side of the company. I also am passionate about my community. I served a term as an Elder at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church after being nominated by the congregation of 2300 and elected by the Congregational Nominating Committee. I also served as both a volunteer and paid livestream operator at PHPC. In addition, I serve at the Vickery Meadow Food Pantry, which feeds immigrant and refugee families in the North Dallas community.
