About Jack Goodwin

Presently, I am an Administrative Assistant working in the higher education industry at Sam Houston State University (SHSU) in the Services for Students with Disabilities Department. I have been employed at SHSU for a little over a year. I am intrigued by how many different types of disabilities there are and how they impact each person differently. I am very proud and impressed of the many services we offer our disabled students such as Adaptive Technology (CCTV's, ZoomText, JAWS, Kurzweil, FM amplifying devices), alternative text formats, Sign Language Interpreting, etc.). Before SHSU, I was employed for The University of Oklahoma OU Physicians for 5 years in the Pediatrics Department as a Patient Service Consultant. I have ten years of medical office experience in departments such as Pediatrics, Surgical, and Financial Services. I also have 10+ years in sales such as wireless and retail. I have a strong background in territory management and impressive leadership qualities. I am committed to superior customer service by maintaining the highest degree of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism. I am skilled in numerous software programs such as EMR, AllScripts, OHCA-SoonerCare, OSIIS, Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, Kryptiq Document Management, TIGER, Doc2Doc, Titanium, Banner INB, and Microsoft Word. In addition, I offer excellent interpersonal skills and I am very punctual. These qualities, combined with my flexibility and self-motivation, enables me to make a valuable and successful contribution to any company.
