About Jack Hansen

A Finance Major pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Notre Dame University, I am excited to embark on a career in investment banking upon graduation in May of 2024. I am confident that my strong work ethic, willingness to take on a challenge, and passion for finance, serve as a strong foundation for future career success. I am proud of my accomplishments in and out of the classroom, especially landing on the Dean's list each semester. My favorite courses at Notre Dame so far have been Introduction to Finance and Management, where I studied the fundamentals of finance and business. I learned about corporate investment management, portfolio management, hedge fund management, small business and corporate finance, investments, securities analysis, borrowing, and fundraising from engaging professors. I know that with an internship, I can observe first-hand how classroom theory presents itself in the reality of the investment banking world. As a finance project team member for SIBC, Notre Dame's largest student-run organization, I am participating in a project focused on analyzing a potential merger or acquisition using a blend of quantitative and qualitative analysis from equity research and investment banking. Upon completion, my team will present to Baird in their Chicago office. I also am a member of Notre Dame's men's club lacrosse team, where I compete against other university club teams. When I am not studying, I enjoy watching Chicago's pro teams, especially the Blackhawks. I also enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, playing golf, playing card games, and pick up basketball.
