About Jack Helsdown

As somebody who has always been interested in learning new things and experiencing what life presents me, I am currently looking to expand my horizons and find work in an industry that I am happy in. I am an intelligent, empathetic and competent individual, and my great passions are for culture – novels, cinema, music, television and games. I am primarily a creative individual who maintains a website (culturedeath.club) where I am compiling my creative work as a portfolio. Despite this, when placed in a professional working environment I will pour myself into the role. I maintain high standards for myself – always guaranteeing that I will accomplish the tasks I set out to do, and always trying to make sure the working culture around me is respectful and co-operative. Although I can make mistakes, especially in a new role, I am a quick learner and once confident in my position I am capable of making difficult decisions, taking initiative in unclear situations, and communicating clearly and effectively within a team. I am keen on learning a craft as to future-proof my career, and I am tired of waiting for opportunities to present themselves to me. Ultimately work in a creative industry – writing/publishing novels, writing screenplays, film production – is my goal, and I am well aware of the steep hill to climb within these industries. Any experience within them that I can get under my belt I will accept enthusiastically, and will make sure I disappoint nobody, especially myself.
