About Jack Howells

I currently work as the Group Finance Shared Service Data and Systems Tower Lead in BT. We provide Finance Data expertise such as Master Data, Interface Integrity and Data Governance. These Data services underpin BT’s internal, external and regulatory reporting. I seek to expand and improve existing Shared Service capabilities through- Driving a culture of continuous improvement - Insourcing and streamlining additional Data activities from other areas of the business to add value - Adopting new technologies to be able to focus on value add services to our stakeholders A graduate of the Business Accounting and Finance Flying Start programme at Newcastle University, a joint collaboration between Newcastle University, PwC, and ICAEW. Initially I trained as an auditor for PwC, where I gained my Chartered Accountant qualification. Subsequently I then moved into industry where I discovered a passion for Data and Systems, whilst working on the split of Lloyds TSB and launch of TSB Bank. Joining BT in 2014 I have obtained internal promotions to Senior Manager and enjoy the challenge of trying to improve BT’s Data and System landscape.
