About Jack Hurlow

I’m passionate about social housing and creating built environments that make a real difference to people’s lives. I began my career completing a Painting and Decorating apprenticeship with V&C, followed by a year working as a qualified painter on residential building sites, gaining strong insight into construction processes, trade coordination, and quality standards.I’m currently studying for a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Construction Management, building my knowledge in site management, project coordination, and sustainable construction alongside hands-on site experience. For almost three years, I’ve worked with Caredig as a Decorator, delivering internal communal area and external decoration works, managing programmes, coordinating scaffolding, and ensuring projects are completed safely and to a high standard within care and support schemes. This role has strengthened my communication skills when working with tenants from diverse backgrounds.I’m motivated to continue developing professionally and progress into roles such as trainee building surveyor, site supervisor, or sustainability-focused positions within the construction industry.
