About Jack Jia

Andrew Carnegie famously said,"My heart is in the work." As an aspiring Security Professional, my passion and aptitude for Information Security have allowed me to discover my purpose. The technical depths and brilliant colleagues challenge me to learn and perfect my craft continuously. During my time at CMU, I took on courseworks that were outside my comfort zone. Whether it was systems programming or machine learning, I took them not knowing if I could handle it or not. Through my grit and motivation from my peers, I eventually completed these courses. The new perspectives I gained from pushing myself, broadened my horizons and brought necessary growth to my career. Now as I begin my next stage as an Information Security Engineer at Wells Fargo, I continue to seek new challenges and show up for my team. I handle changes to SIEM and SOAR tools in my organization. In my own time, I dive into large language models and Machine Learning Agents by reading up on published papers and replicating their results. Information Security is a continuous process just as Cybersecurity is an ever-changing landscape, and my heart is in this work.
