About Jack Lawlor
I hold an MSc in Quantum Field Theory, String Theory and Gravity and a BA in Theoretical Physics, both from Trinity College Dublin. I am drawn to complex and highly abstract problems. For me, there is nothing more rewarding than a difficult problem solved elegantly (after admittedly arduous effort). Naturally this brought me to an academic career in theoretical physics. During my studies I have taken courses in quantum field theory, string theory, quantum gravity, abstract mathematics, statistical mechanics and computational physics; and I have had the opportunity to produce theses and dig through the weeds of research papers on theoretical high energy physics and particle phenomenology. Having completed my studies with First Class Honours across the board, and a vast breadth of knowledge and experiences to boot, I am excited to transition towards an industry based career and put to use all I have learned in a meaningful way. Thus I am currently pursuing graduate career opportunities in applied physics and quantum technology.
