About Jack Marshall

John "Jack" Marshall is an educator, musician, and activist from Boca Raton, Florida. His life mission is to educate, motivate, and inspire young musicians through the classroom system. Music education helps students with academic, social, and emotional skills, and his goal is to incorporate both traditional and 21st-century music education techniques and resources to provide a well-rounded and fulfilling music education experience. Having a strong musical background, Jack uses his abilities to create a pathway towards educating students and changing lives. Jack was a member of the Florida Singing Sons Boychoir for seven years. As a member, he served as a music theory instructor, a section leader, the Jam session leader and pianist, and the overall lead chorister in the organization. Since graduating from the organization in 2022, he has also served as a music theory instructor part-time. Ever since a young age, Jack has held a strong passion for education. As a volunteer at St. Paul Lutheran School, Jack received firsthand experience working with students in grades PK-8 in a classroom environment. Through his high school, North Broward Preparatory School, Jack served musically as a collaborative pianist, a theory and sight reading instructor, a student conductor, a section leader in the Concert Choir, the principal horn of the Wind Ensemble, an actor in the Musical Theater and Opera program, and as the Assistant Director of the Middle School choir. Jack is a civic-minded individual who understands the importance of political involvement. Jack served as a campaign volunteer for the Palm Beach County Human Rights Council-endorsed candidate for Boca Raton City Council, Constance J. Scott. He also served as a poll worker in the 2020 primary and general elections. Currently, Jack is serving as a campaign consultant for Anthony Staats, a candidate for county commission in northern Virginia. Jack now attends Florida State University and is working towards a BME in Choral Music Education. With a diverse set of skills and experiences, Jack Marshall is a committed individual who hopes to collaborate with those in the South Florida community and beyond.
