About Jack Mayer

Since 2001, Jack Mayer has managed investments on behalf of institutions, pension funds, foundations, estates, trusts, families and individuals. Prior to joining Research Capital, Jack spent more than a decade as an Investment Advisor with RBC Dominion Securities and BMO Nesbitt Burns, operating an independent private wealth management practice. He served as Branch Manager for Pembroke Private Wealth Management from 2010 to 2012, where he was responsible for managing Canadian, U.S. and U.K. investment accounts, national business development initiatives, strategy and marketing. From 2003 to 2010, Jack held various positions with Fidelity Investments, the world’s largest privately held investment manager, including the role of Registered Branch Manager for Fidelity’s defined contribution pension operations in Canada. Jack began his career in 2001 as a Financial Security Advisor with a subsidiary of the Power Corporation of Canada. Jack holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation – a regulatory requirement for discretionary portfolio managers in Canada. He also holds certificates in Advanced Investment Advice and Investment Dealer Compliance, and is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) – Canada’s premier institution for investment education. The FCSI designation is the most senior credential in Canadian financial services.
