About Jack Millard

I have recently graduated from the University of Alberta. Notable projects from my time at UAlberta include the design of a mechanism to collect and store sample material from Enceladus (moon of Saturn), as well as the modeling of heat transfer within a coiled tube-in-tube exchanged used in industrial applications. I am currently a maintenance engineer-in-training at the Dow Chemical Hydrocarbon Facility in Fort Saskatchewan. I am responsible for optimizing maintenance activities related to the furnaces and quench water systems, this included fired and rotating equipment as well as fixed assets. My skills in fluid mechanics have allowed me to manage projects such as predicting suspect locations for flow accelerated corrosion. My interests include: Personal Finance, Health and Fitness, Cooking, and Golf.
