About Jack Nesbitt

As a recent graduate in business management from Quest Professional and with two years work experience since leaving school I am now keen to pursue a career in Insurance or Financial Services. All the roles I have done, including working as a farmworker and site manager at an Urban farm, as a Sales ring spotter at an auction house and as a polo groom, have required me to collaborate in teams, be highly adaptable to changing or high pressurised situations, and to communicate with a variety of colleagues and clients. I’m really energised by working with others to achieve results and deliver a quality service, and pride myself on being organised and paying attention to detail. At school I organised termly events for 40 society members and invited guest speakers, enhancing my organisational and communication abilities. I have already undertaken work experience in three different insurance companies, including Howden, Gallagher and ATL Marine and Energy, so had exposure to sectors including marine, aviation, real estate and construction. I have gained good knowledge about how brokers and underwriters work collaboratively to agree on policies, as well as account management and support roles. I have also completed work experience at Henderson Rowe where I shadowed a fund manager and gained a detailed insight into the company’s investment strategies.In my spare time I enjoy playing golf with a handicap of 4 and was recently selected from all Stowe school alumni to represent Stowe in an inter-schools golf tournament ‘The Halford Hewitt’.
