About Jack Otterson

My desire to be an engineer is rooted in my high school education where I was able to choose a path which focused on S.T.E.M courses. I worked with two teachers/mentors and had access to 3D printing, CNC machines, and Woodworking. In this path I worked on my capstone project, earned my stem certification, and made connections with an architecture and engineering company in my community. Through this process I found a desire to peruse engineering and problem solving professionally. Through my coursework and projects while in college I have learned many new skills and am constantly working to learn more. I have experience in solid and surface modeling mostly through Solidworks, matlab experience through a home made sonar speed sensor, and light electronic and mechanical design experience. My projects both educationally and privately based have given me the opportunity to understand how team based engineering, problem solving, and logistics go into every project.
