About Jack Penman
Seventeen years experience as an archive producer working on single documentaries, documentary series and theatrical features. I am excited and driven by new subject matter, and new ideas and approaches where I can make a difference. I have worked predominantly at three companies that focus on archival programming, Darlow Smithson, Raw and currently 72 Films. At 72 I worked on the Emmy award winning 9/11: One Day in America (National Geographic), and WW2: From the Frontlines (Netflix). I work on all subjects in all periods, but have over time built up significant experience working on programmes about American history and WW2, including projects driven entirely by archival testimony. As a result, I have an excellent knowledge of film and tape archives in Europe and the US.
