About Jack Quinn

My goal is to continue developing as a mechanical engineer and play an integral role in the process of completing projects to the highest standard of safety, and in a professional manner. I have gained valuable experience working as an engineer on one of the country's largest Bio-Pharma projects, Eli Lilly IE43 Biotech facilities in Kinsale Cork. I am a fully qualified Mechanical Engineer originally from Ireland but I have moved over to Vancouver on a two-year working Visa. I have worked with Jacobs Engineering for the past 3 years in the Pharmaceutical and Oil and Gas sectors. Recently I have been working onsite in Irving Oil as a project engineer where I managed multiple projects and teams making sure that schedules were kept and the estimates that I developed kept on target +/- 10%. Most importantly I ensured that all projects were completed safely. I have worked on projects with budgets ranging from $60k – $300m. I have overseen 2 shutdowns in two separate areas within the Irving Oil Plant. I enjoy what I do as I am a people person and enjoy meeting and getting to know people on a professional and personal level. I am always trying to learn and push myself inside and outside the workplace. I am a very energetic person inside and outside of work and enjoy most outdoor activities from wake boarding, snowboarding, triathlons, cycling, soccer, golf etc and I always enjoy the chance to try something new.
