About Jack Rafferty

I recently graduated from the University of Kansas Business School in May of 2022 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in finance. I currently work at Creative Planning LLC as a Financial Planner. Creative Planning provides comprehensive wealth management services including investment management, financial planning, charitable planning, retirement plan consulting, tax planning, and estate planning services. Before my time at Creative Planning, I was employed at Wipfli Financial Advisors as an Associate Financial Advisor. Prior to graduating college, I worked at a Menard's distribution center in the summer of 2021 where I partook in rigorous amounts of physical labor. In the summer of 2020 I interned at William Blair as a Private Wealth Management intern. I learned valuable people skills as well as how to act and perform in the extremely competitive professional business world. I have 4 years of advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Office experience. I also have similar experience with Google Sheets and Google Slides. An experience that has helped shaped me into the person I am today is the school trip I took heading into my senior year of high school. I, accompanied by 25 other students and two chaperones spent 10 days in Peru. I learned how to get around barely knowing the native language and was fortunate enough to see a world outside of the United States that very few people my age have had the opportunity to experience. I am originally from the Chicagoland suburbs and my family has moved several times throughout my life. I have learned that I adapt quickly and thrive while changing environments. Sports have been a huge part of my life and I believe being on a team in sports translates well to the business world as many professional environments rely heavily on teamwork and efficiency.
