I am a hardworking, reliable, diligent, problem solving and critical thinking person with a background in analytical and physical chemistry. BSc.(Hons) in Analytical Sciences from Dublin City University. Which led to undertaking a PhD with Prof Tia Keyes at the School of Chemical Sciences and National Centre for Sensor Research, Dublin City University. My PhD focused on developing cavity substrates, such as gold or PDMS, for the development of bio-mimetic artificial cell membrane models. These membrane models were interrogated using electrochemical or fluorescent techniques to model protein aggregation with and within the cell membrane. Proteins of interest were Annexins, Amyloid Betas, Integrins and Galectins. Throughout the PhD, I undertook roles including Laboratory Manager & Laboratory Demonstrator and Tutor. I successfully defended my PhD in April 2022.
