About Jack Ryan

In my four years of study at UCI I fostered a unique and varied set of skills which have molded my academic and professional interests. Post graduation, I am exploring different opportunities to further my understanding of the fields of both law and psychology. As an academic I focused on taking a wide variety of psychology and neuroscience classes which helped me get an understanding of the field of psychology and the varying avenues of study it has to offer. To further my understanding beyond the classroom, I have volunteered as a Research Assistant in multiple labs on campus in different schools such as Cognitive Sciences and Social Ecology. This work has helped me foster a deeper understanding of how quality scientific knowledge is produced.In my spare time, I involved myself in civil service and competitive legal advocacy organizations on campus. These helped me round out my skills as a professional, learning both what it means to be a successful leader, and how to be led successfully.Outside my academic and professional life my hobbies include: lifting weights, health and wellness research, and indie games.
